"Heroism is latent in every human soul - However humble or unknown, they (the veterans) have renounced what are accounted pleasures and cheerfully undertaken all the self-denials - privations, toils, dangers, sufferings, sicknesses, mutilations, life-long hurts and losses, death itself - for some great good, dimly seen but dearly held."

~ Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain

The Tucker-Murray Memorial Fund was founded to honor two of Clay County Tennessee's fallen soldiers, Sergeant Wesley Tucker and Sergeant First Class Dennis Murray. Our mission is to honor their memory and selfless service by providing college scholarships for worthy, qualifying high school graduates.

The Tucker-Murray Memorial Fund stands as a reminder that these heroes service to their country and community did not end when they fell on the battlefield. We will continue their selfless commitment to serving others and helping make America's future bright through striving to provide educational opportunities to future generations.
